lecturer dismissed as college not satisfied with results. Sign the petition.

A very worrying case has come up; the dismissal and victimisation of a Mathematics lecturer and trade union activist at Halesowen College.  David Muritu, UCU Branch Secretary, was dismissed on Thursday 20th December.  He has been fully represented by UCU in this process.  Three other UCU members at Halesowen College face similar hearings during the week commencing 7th January 2013.  The charges relate to student academic performance.  This case is very worrying for the whole teaching profession, if lecturers can be dismissed because colleges are not satisfied with students’ examination results.

Please sign the petition below and encourage your work colleagues, friends and family members to do so.
