NUS Bradford College Students Protest. Employ, Empower and Educate

The protest was part of a national demo proposed by the NUS national union of students, the demos agenda was around employ, empower and educate. This meant that no matter what course a student was studying or whatever their educational or future aspirations are the consecutive cuts and never ending privatisation of the education system means that every student will be or has been affected, so it’s in their best interests to get involved, unify and fight. The demos main purpose was to raise the issues students face eg cuts to EMA or the increase of tuition fees etc., so that the public, media and MPs know what the issues are and that students are angry and concerned. Then the next steps are to work with different groups to help come up with ways of campaigning about the different issues to get the changes they want.
